Johnny Wyrostek cracked a homer and had 4 RBI at Crosley Field as the St.
Louis Cardinals, running on all cylinders, ripped the Cincinnati Reds by a
large 15 to 5 margin.

Wyrostek provided the offensive punch.  He launched a three-run homer in the
1st inning, slapped a one-base hit which plated a run in the 2nd inning and
delivered a single in the 6th inning.  St. Louis bats were hot in the 6th
inning which saw them plate 8 runs on 9 hits.  For the game St. Louis out-hit
Cincinnati 22 to 10.  

Vic Raschi(13-12) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Raschi
got help from Bob Porterfield who earned his 3rd save.  Dutch Leonard(12-4)
took the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.

St. Louis now has a record of 65-65.  With this loss, Cincinnati has a 4-6
record of late, 73-41 overall.
