Catcher Roy Campanella had 2 base hits at Shibe Park where the Philadelphia-AL
Athletics beat the Washington Nationals by the score of 3 to
1.

Philadelphia-AL scored all of the necessary runs in the 7th inning when they
scored 3 runs on 3 hits.  Luis Aloma pitched a perfect ninth and was credited
with his 17th save.  

The victory went to Dutch Leonard(2-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
