Jim Whitney tossed a complete game at Association Park as the Kansas City
Cowboys beat the Washington Nationals 12 to 7.

Whitney(13-16) earned his pay with a solid performance for Kansas City.  He
went 9 innings and surrended up 9 hits and no walks.  Offensively, Kansas
City was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6 separate innings.  

The loss was charged to Ed Crane(1-4).  His biggest problem was control as he
allowed 12 walks in 8 innings.
