Reilly provided much of the offense. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 3rd inning, tripled bringing in a run in the 5th inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 9th inning. Cincinnati rapped out 11 hits for the afternoon. For Duryea(13-7) it was his 3rd shutout this year. Kid Nichols(23-16) was the loser. 'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Reilly said. 'Whenever I would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
