First baseman Tom Jones had 3 base hits and Barney Pelty allowed Jimmy McAleer
to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the St. Louis Browns
outscored the New York Highlanders 7 to 4.

St. Louis jumped on top to stay in the 7th inning scoring one runner on 2 base
hits.  After an out was recorded, Jones lined a single.  George Stone came to
the plate and singled.  One out later, Bobby Wallace was walked intentionally
to load the bases.  Pete O'Brien followed next and he reached on an error
scoring the run.  St. Louis had 12 hits for the afternoon.  

Pelty(15-4) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. Al Orth(12-14)
suffered the loss.  He allowed 12 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.
