Second baseman Heinie Wagner touched them all and had 2 RBI and Larry Pape
threw a 3 hit shutout as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Chicago White Sox by
a score of 7 to 0 at White Sox Park.

Pape(14-1) was virtually untouchable. He didn't allow much, just 3 hits and 1
walk in 9 innings.  Boston banged out 14 hits on the afternoon.  

Jesse Baker(4-5) was given the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 12 hits and
6 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.  'I thought it was my best performance in a
long time,' said Pape. 'I had good command early in the game. I had my
control and composure and everything went well.'
