Jim Hearn(1-0) gave a fine effort for Cincinnati.  He went 7 innings and
surrended up 6 hits and 2 walks dropping his ERA from 4.85 to 4.36.  Kansas
City had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.  

Don Bessent recorded his 31st save.  Frank Lary(10-10) was the loser.
