Silver King went the distance at Sportsman's Park as the blistering-hot St.
Louis Browns beat the Brooklyn Grays 9 to 1.

St. Louis drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning as
they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits.  That early run support was enough for
King(27-7) and St. Louis.  St. Louis had 14 hits for the afternoon.  

John Harkins(7-11) absorbed the loss.  He allowed St. Louis 9 runs in 8
innings of work.  St. Louis added another win to their now very impressive
winning streak.
