Cy Young went the distance as the Cleveland Spiders defeated the Baltimore
Orioles 11 to 3 at League Park.

Cleveland started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of
the first as they scored 5 runs on 4 base hits.  That was all Young(29-7)
needed.  Cleveland banged out 11 hits on the afternoon.  

Bill Kling(0-1) took the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 10 hits and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  The Cleveland ballclub's record
now stands at a league leading 77-34.  With the loss Baltimore now has a
record of 49-63.
