Bobby Lowe knocked 2 homeruns as the Boston Beaneaters beat the Cincinnati
Reds in 10 innings by a score of 9 to 8.

Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings.  Finally, Boston
prevailed in the 10th inning.  Billy Nash led off the inning for Boston when
he drew a walk.  Nash swiped second base.  Herman Long then smacked a single.
Tommy Tucker followed next and he slapped a one-base hit knocking in a run.
After an out was recorded, Lee Viau stepped up to the plate and he would hit
into a fielders choice bringing home one more runner.  Lowe got his turn
next, but he was a strikeout victim.  Tommy McCarthy next to the plate and he
reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning.  Both teams ended up
with 10 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory went to Viau(3-16) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Ben Stephens(1-2) was charged with the loss.  He surrendered 9 runs and 10
hits in 9 innings.
