TEAM RISP- Superbas: 8 for 16 Pirates: 1 for 9

Doc McJames carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Brooklyn Superbas
came back to win one over Pittsburg Pirates, 10 to 3.

Brooklyn bats came alive with a big 9th inning as they erupted for 9 runs on 7
hits. The biggest moment was provided by Joe Kelley who deflated the spirits
of the home town crowd when he delivered a single which was good for two
runs. Overall Brooklyn out-hit Pittsburg 12 to 5.

McJames(15-9) got the win allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. The right-handed
McJames lost a no-hitter when Jack McCarthy singled with nobody out in the
6th inning. Sam Leever(10-17) was charged with the loss.

'I pin this one on my own shoulders,' Leever said. 'The bottom line is I
didn't get the job done. Our fans deserve better than this.'
