The Pittsburgh Pirates got by the Brooklyn Superbas at Exposition Park. The
final score was 5 to 3.

Pittsburgh came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning with 3
runs on 2 base hits. After two were out Honus Wagner was the sparkplug when
he drew a walk. Wagner took off for second and slid in with a stolen base.
Kitty Bransfield then was walked intentionally. Otto Krueger followed and he
singled to load the bases. Moose McCormick came to the plate and slapped a
one-base hit, and an error was also committed, clearing the bases. Brooklyn
threatened in the 9th but Pittsburgh was able to put down the rally.

The victory went to Charlie Case(9-1) who went 8 and 1/3 innings, allowing 3
runs. Howie Camnitz recorded the save, his 2nd. Doc Scanlan(6-2) suffered
the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
