In a startling finish the Pittsburgh Pirates staged a comeback then held on to
win over the Boston Red Sox by a score of 7 to 4 at Fenway Park.

Pittsburgh scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning when they
scored 4 runs on 5 hits.  Pittsburgh had 14 hits for the afternoon while
Boston had 11.  

Johnny Antonelli(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. The
loss was charged to Jack Banta(10-6) in relief.  He surrendered 4 runs and 5
hits in 1 inning.
