The Cleveland Indians got by the Pittsburgh Pirates at Forbes Field.  The
final score was 8 to 6.

Cleveland scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning plating 2 runs using 2
hits.  Jack Shepard led off the inning for Cleveland when he drew a walk.
Gene Baker stepped up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Chico
Carrasquel then stroked a one-base hit.  Randy Jackson followed next and he
drew a walk to load the bases.  Willie Jones came to the plate and banged out
a single scoring a base-hit run.  Jim Busby joined his teammates in the
uprising and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning.
Cleveland rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Morrie Martin(6-4) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Hoyt Wilhelm earned the save, his 16th.  Jack Harshman(6-8) was the loser in
relief.  He gave up 4 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings of work.
