Billy Taylor smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Harry Salisbury had an
impressive outing at Exposition Park as the Pittsburgh Alleghenys beat the
Philadelphia Athletics by the count of 6 to 2.

The Pittsburgh fans enjoyed the offense provided by Taylor.  He lifted one out
of the park for a two run home run in the 1st inning and clubbed a two-run
home run in the 7th inning.  Pittsburgh banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.

Salisbury(22-6) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Bill
Sweeney(6-12) took the loss.  'When Salisbury is on like that it is a tough
game to play, no doubt about it,' Juice Latham said. 'He always pitches well
against us.'
