Ed Crane launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Dupee Shaw was able to finish
what he started and was credited with a complete game at Dartmouth Grounds as
the Boston Reds embarrassed the Wilmington Quicksteps by the lopsided score
of 16 to 4.

Crane provided much of the offense.  He clubbed a solo home run in the 5th
inning and belted a three-run homer in the 8th inning.  Boston bats were hot
in the 1st inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits and the 8th inning which saw
them score 6 runs on 5 hits.  Boston had many opportunities throughout the
game and scored in 6 separate innings.  

Shaw(11-5) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. John Murphy(5-9) was
the loser.  He was not very effective, surrendering 16 runs in 8 innings.
