First baseman Harry Davis launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Snake Wiltse
tossed a complete game as the Philadelphia Athletics bested the struggling
Milwaukee Brewers 7 to 5 at Lloyd Street Grounds.

Philadelphia had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Dave Fultz led off and started the rally when he
tripled. Davis came next and he lifted one out of the park for a two run
home run. Both teams finished the game with 10 hits.

Wiltse(6-5), allowing 5 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Ned
Garvin(5-16) absorbed the loss. 'I was a little good, a little bad and a
little ugly.' said Wiltse, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
