Shortstop Ray Chapman had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at League Park where the
Cleveland Naps beat the Chicago White Sox by the score of 11 to 4.

Cleveland came up with 8 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning with the help of
6 hits.  The big moment was provided by Doc Johnston who elicited a roar from
the hometown fans when he doubled plating all three baserunners.  Both teams
ended up with 11 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory was credited to Fred Blanding(13-8) who went 7 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 4 runs. Phil Douglas(0-2) ended up with the loss.  He allowed a few
too many baserunners giving up 6 hits and 5 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
