Left fielder Hank Sauer jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI at
Cleveland Stadium as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Cleveland Indians in 10
innings 7 to 6.

Both teams were tied at 5 runs apiece after nine innings. Pittsburgh ended up
winning it in the 10th inning.  After two outs Red Schoendienst got things
going when he laced a base-knock.  Dale Mitchell came next and he doubled
scoring a single run.  Stan Rojek then stroked a one-base hit scoring the
final run of the inning.  Pittsburgh rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.

The win was credited to Vic Lombardi(2-5) who went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing
2 runs. The losing pitcher was Russ Meyer(7-11) in relief.
