In a good matchup it was the Cleveland Indians 7, the Washington Nationals 4
at Griffith Stadium.

Washington found themselves trailing quickly as the Cleveland bats came
through in the first inning plating an isolated run.  Cleveland totaled 7
hits on the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Murry Dickson(13-6) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings.
Jim Hearn earned his 35th save.  The losing pitcher was Bob Feller(8-12).  He
struggled with his control issuing 11 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
