WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Pittsburgh turns a triple play!

Stubby Overmire was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at Yankee Stadium as the New York-AL Yankees beat the
Pittsburgh Pirates 6 to 5.

Overmire(5-8) gave a fine effort for New York-AL. He allowed 9 hits and no
walks in 9 innings and gave up 2 homeruns. Pittsburgh threatened in the 9th
but their rally came up short.

Vern Law(1-3) took the loss in relief. He was the victim of a defensive lapse
and did not allow an earned run in the game.
