In a one-sided affiar at Exposition Park the final score was the Philadelphia
Phillies 10, the Pittsburg Pirates 5 in 10 innings.

The score was tied at 4 after nine.  Finally, Philadelphia prevailed in the
10th inning.  The critical plate appearance was by Sam Thompson who quieted
the crowd when he hit a single plating two runs.  Despite losing, Pittsburg
out-hit Philadelphia 17 to 11.  

The winning pitcher was Tim Keefe(4-6) who allowed 5 runs in 9 and 2/3
innings. Al Maul(2-4) was the loser in relief.  He pitched 1 inning giving up
5 hits and 1 walk.
