Kid Carsey had a complete game as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Chicago
Colts by a score of 6 to 5.

Philadelphia came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning
scoring 2 runs.  Bob Allen opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk.
Bill Hallman stepped up next and he tripled which scored a run.  After
another out, Ed Delahanty then hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the
inning.  Although they lost, Chicago did out-hit Philadelphia 10 to 6.  

The win went to Carsey(21-6) who allowed 5 runs in the game. Ad Gumbert(14-19)
was the loser.  He gave up 6 runs and 6 hits in 9 innings.
