Win Mercer had an impressive outing as the Washington Senators outscored the
Louisville Colonels 8 to 2.

Washington wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they came
up with 2 runs on 4 hits.  Washington managed 10 hits in their victory.

Mercer(11-15) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. The loss was
charged to Mike McDermott(4-16).  Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 11
