Cinders O'Brien had a complete game as the amazing Boston Reds defeated the
Columbus Solons by a score of 10 to 1 at Congress St Grounds.
Boston jumped on top of Columbus in the 3rd inning plating one baserunner.
Tom Brown drew a walk. Brown then stole second base. Boston continued their
aggressive style with another stolen base. Hugh Duffy was up next and he hit
a sacrifice fly scoring the run. Boston finished with 9 hits in the victory.
O'Brien(19-8), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Jim
Sullivan(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He was not very effective,
surrendering 10 runs in 8 innings.
