Joe Tinker collected 2 extra-base hits and Jack Taylor completed the game
without help from the bullpen as the Chicago Orphans defeated the
Philadelphia Phillies in 13 innings 4 to 3 at Baker Bowl.

The score was tied at 3 after nine.  Chicago won the hard fought contest in
the 13th inning.  After two outs Johnny Kling singled.  Tinker stepped up to
the plate and he tripled scoring the run.  Chicago and Philadelphia each
finished the afternoon with 11 hits.  

The victory was credited to Taylor(24-9) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Bill Duggleby(5-16) was charged with the loss.  He gave up 4 runs and
11 hits in 13 innings.
