Togie Pittinger allowed 7 hits while blanking New York at Polo Grounds as the
Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Giants in 13 innings 1 to 0.

The score was a scoreless tie after nine.  Philadelphia won it in the 13th
inning.  Mickey Doolin doubled, and an error was also committed.  Red Dooin
next to the plate and he laced a single scoring the run.  Philadelphia and
New York each finished the afternoon with 7 hits.  

It was the 6th shutout of the year for Pittinger(14-10). Hooks Wiltse(10-7)
was tagged with the loss in relief.  He gave up 1 run and 3 hits in 4
innings.
