In a one-sided affair the New York-NL Giants batters pounded the Chicago-NL
Cubs pitchers for 16 runs while Orval Overall(11-9), with relief help from
Frank Arellanes, held Chicago-NL to 1 run.

Chicago-NL fell behind quickly as the New York-NL offense came through in the
first inning plating one baserunner utilizing 2 base hits.  New York-NL bats
were hot in the 8th inning when they had 6 runs on 4 hits.  New York-NL kept
the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.

Overall was helped out by Arellanes who recorded his 4th save.  Cy
Morgan(5-12) was charged with the loss.  He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 8 runs in 5 innings.  

With this win, New York-NL has a 65-71 record.  They have been 4-6 lately.
Chicago-NL has a record of 50-86, worst in the division after the loss.
