The Detroit Tigers toppled the hapless Brooklyn Dodgers by a 8 to 4 score at
Bennett Park.

Detroit jumped on top to stay in the 5th inning scoring 3 runners on 3 hits.
The big moment was provided by Zack Wheat who came through for the home fans
when he tripled bringing home two baserunners.  Detroit had a total of 13
hits for the game.  

Earl Hamilton(7-14) allowed 4 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory.
The loss was charged to George Suggs(13-18).  He allowed 8 runs and 13 hits
