Dave Koslo had an impressive outing as the Cleveland Indians defeated the
Cincinnati Reds by the score of 4 to 3 at Crosley Field.
Cincinnati surrendered all of the runs Cleveland needed in the 1st inning when
they tallied 4 runs on 5 hits. That early run support was all that
Koslo(15-5) required. Cincinnati threatened in the 9th but their rally came
up short.
Fred Martin recorded his 19th save. Preacher Roe(12-10) took the loss. He
allowed 7 hits and 9 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
