Catcher Fatty Briody had 4 hits and 2 RBI and Stump Weidman pitched a complete
game as the Kansas City Cowboys came back to win one over Philadelphia
Quakers, 8 to 7.

Kansas City had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs using 2 hits. After two outs Charley Bassett keyed the rally when he
reached on an error. Briody followed and he ripped a base-knock. Mert
Hackett then doubled which scored a run. Mox McQuery followed next and he
was walked intentionally to load the bases. Frank Ringo came to the plate
and reached on an error scoring another baseruner. Jim Whitney added to the
rally and drew a walk giving Kansas City the victory and sending the 1,633
home-town fans home happy. This was the kind of game that many fans love as
the lead changed hands 6 times.

Weidman(13-26), allowing 7 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Dan
Casey(18-19) absorbed the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 12 hits and 3
walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.

Kansas City now has a record of 30-59. With the loss, Philadelphia has a
record of 6-4 lately, 47-41 overall.
