Jocko Flynn had a complete game at West Side Park as the phenomenal Chicago
White Stockings beat the awful Washington Nationals by the count of 10 to
7.

Chicago scored 4 runs in the decisive 6th inning.  The Washington batters went
down meekly in the 9th.  The win went to Flynn(14-5) who allowed 7 runs in
the game. Dupee Shaw(13-20) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed a few too
many baserunners giving up 13 hits and 6 walks in 8 innings.  

The winning ways continue for Chicago.  They now have a record of 8-2 in
recent days.  With this loss, Washington has a 3-7 record of late, 27-62,
worst in the league overall.
