Frank Smith tossed a complete game and Joe Tinker had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the
Cincinnati Reds were badly beaten by the Pittsburgh Pirates, 13 to 2.

Tinker led the offense for Pittsburgh.  He slapped a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, doubled in the 4th inning, tripled in the 8th inning and tripled
bringing home two baserunners in the 9th inning.  Pittsburgh had a total of
14 hits for the game.  

The victory was credited to Smith(16-8) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Harry McIntire(6-11) ended up with the loss.  He allowed 14 hits and 4
walks in 9 innings.  

Wth the win Pittsburgh now has a record of 76-59. With this loss, Cincinnati
has a 4-6 record of late, 69-65 overall.
