The Brooklyn Bridegrooms nipped the St. Louis Browns in 10 innings 3 to 2 at
Washington Park in a hard fought contest.

Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings.  Brooklyn ended up
winning it in the 10th inning.  George Pinkney drew a walk.  After an out was
recorded, Dave Foutz stepped up to the plate and he reached on an error.
Darby O'Brien then reached on an error giving Brooklyn the victory as 2,201
happy fans celebrated wildly.  Brooklyn managed 7 hits in their victory.

The winning pitcher was Mickey Hughes(13-11) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Ice Box Chamberlain(13-9) was charged with the loss in relief.
