Jack Crooks had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Columbus Solons defeated the
Rochester Broncos 10 to 5 at Culver Field.

Columbus jumped on top of Rochester in the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs on 2
hits.  Mike Lehane led off and started the rally when he was hit by a pitch.
Frank Knauss followed next and he reached on an error.  After an out was
recorded, Crooks then tripled bringing in two baserunners.  Spud Johnson
stepped in and he drew a walk.  After another out, Jack Doyle stepped up to
the plate and he tripled scoring the final run of the inning.  Columbus kept
the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.

The victory was credited to Knauss(20-1) who went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs.
Jack Easton got the save, his 1st.  Cannonball Titcomb(4-8) ended up with the
loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits and 3 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings.
