Third baseman Jimmy Collins had 5 hits and 5 RBI and Fred Mitchell went the
distance at League Park where the Boston Americans beat the Cleveland Blues
13 to 7.

Collins had a big day at the plate.  He delivered a base-hit in the 1st
inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, singled in the 7th inning, banged out a
single plating two runs in the 8th inning and doubled which was good for two
runs in the 9th inning.  Despite scoring in 5 separate innings, Cleveland
could not get the win.  

The victory was credited to Mitchell(8-3) who went the distance, allowing 7
runs. Bill Cristall(0-1) suffered the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 12
hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  

Collins was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the
ball real well now.  I made some adjustments last week and they are paying
off.  That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes
along.'
