Nap Lajoie had 5 hits and 3 RBI at Baker Bowl as the indomitable
Philadelphia-NL Phillies belted the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 12 to
2.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Lajoie.  He doubled knocking in a run in the 1st inning, slapped
a single scoring a run in the 2nd inning, ripped a one-base hit which plated
a run in the 4th inning, doubled in the 5th inning and delivered a base-hit
in the 7th inning.  Philadelphia-NL ended up with 16 hits for the game while
Cincinnati had 5.  

Three Finger Brown(25-11) allowed 2 runs in 5 innings, and picked up the
victory. Carl Lundgren was credited with his 4th save.  Elmer
Stricklett(17-14) ended up with the loss.  He gave up 6 hits and 2 walks in 1
and 2/3 innings.
