Left fielder George Stone had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the dominant Detroit Tigers
outscored the St. Louis-AL Browns 9 to 4.

Stone had a big day against St. Louis-AL.  He tripled bringing in a run in the
1st inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 3rd inning, doubled in the 5th
inning and tripled in the 7th inning.  Detroit ended up with 16 hits for the
game while St. Louis-AL had 13.  

Ed Walsh(19-9) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Harry Howell(16-7)
absorbed the loss.  Detroit knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 7 runs in
