Right fielder Al Schweitzer had 2 base hits at League Park where the St. Louis
Browns beat the Cleveland Naps by the score of 6 to 5.

St. Louis wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning plating one
baserunner.  Cleveland threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.

The winning pitcher was Joe Lake(4-18) who allowed 5 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. Marc Hall preserved the game for Lake, recording his his 1st save.
George Kahler(1-4) took the loss.  He gave up 6 runs and 10 hits in 9
innings.  

'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Lake said,
'this was one of those times.'
