Tris Speaker had 4 hits and 5 RBI at Shibe Park as the Philadelphia-AL
Athletics beat the Washington Nationals 15 to 6.

Speaker had a big day at the plate.  He doubled bringing in two baserunners in
the 2nd inning, laced a base-hit in the 3rd inning, lined a single bringing
home two baserunners in the 6th inning and tripled scoring a run in the 7th
inning.  Philadelphia-AL lit up the scoreboard in the 2nd inning with 6 runs
on 6 hits and the 7th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 6 hits.  Overall
Philadelphia-AL out-hit Washington 21 to 11.  

The win was credited to Ray Collins(19-3) who went 6 innings allowing 6 runs.
Art Fromme earned his 7th save.  Eddie Cicotte(4-16) was the losing pitcher.
He was hit hard and gave up 17 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
