Hal Newhouser had an impressive outing as the Washington Nationals topped the
Boston Red Sox by a score of 1 to 0 at Fenway Park.

Sheldon Jones(9-11) gave up the game's only run when Washington scored in the
4th inning.  Washington had 8 hits for the afternoon.  

For Newhouser(14-13) it was his 3rd shutout this year.
