inning. After an out was recorded, Bob Elliott started the rally when he
doubled. Larry Doby came to the plate and drew a walk. Marty Marion then
clubbed a three-run home run. Cincinnati totaled 13 hits on the afternoon.
Warren Hacker(14-6) went 1 inning allowing 2 runs for the win. Hacker got help
from Preacher Roe who was credited with his 17th save. Bob Chipman(1-1) took
the loss in relief.
