George Van Haltren knocked 2 homeruns as the Pittsburg Pirates bested the
Washington Senators 11 to 3 at Exposition Park.

Van Haltren enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He electrified the crowd with a
Grand Slam home run in the 1st inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 7th
inning.  Pittsburg had 15 hits overall, while Washington had 4.  

The win went to Tom Colcolough(3-0) who allowed 3 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings.
Al Maul(10-20) ended up with the loss.  He surrended 3 homeruns in his 8
innings.
