TEAM RISP- Colonels: 3 for 13 Beaneaters: 8 for 11

Second baseman Bobby Lowe hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI as the Boston
Beaneaters outscored the lifeless Louisville Colonels 10 to 8.

The difference in the game was the offensive outburst by Boston in the 8th
inning showing no mercy on Louisville as they plated 7 runs on 9 hits. The
crucial at-bat was provided by Hugh Duffy who made the crowd come alive when
he bombed a two-run dinger. Even though they scored in 5 different innings,
Louisville was not able to pull off the win.

The victory went to George Hodson(5-1) who went 8 and 2/3 innings, allowing 8
runs. Hodson got help from Harry Staley who was credited with his 3rd save.
Jack Wadsworth(4-10) was hit with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 14
hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
