Rube Marquard whitewashed Boston as the streaking New York Giants defeated the
hopeless Boston Rustlers by a score of 8 to 0 at Brush
Stadium.

Marquard(18-6) pitched a fine game. He went 9 innings and surrended up 11
hits and 3 walks. New York had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Hub Perdue(4-9) was the loser. He allowed New York 7 runs in 6 innings of
work. New York continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now
reaching 7 games and counting. Fred Tenney was upset but philosophical about
the loss. 'Sometimes you run into a team that's on a roll. This was one of
those times.'
