Sherry Magee hit 3 doubles and had 3 RBI and Pete Alexander pitched a complete
game as the Philadelphia Phillies crushed the Brooklyn Superbas 13 to
2.

Magee provided much of the offense.  He doubled in the 6th inning, doubled
bringing in two baserunners in the 8th inning and doubled scoring a run in
the 9th inning.  Philadelphia finished with 16 hits in the victory.  

The win was credited to Alexander(16-14) who went the whole way allowing 2
runs. The losing pitcher was Elmer Knetzer(8-13).  He pitched 7 innings
giving up 7 hits and 1 walk.
