The New York Giants scored 6 runs in the 5th inning and easily topped the
Brooklyn Robins; the final score was 9 to 4.

New York came up with 6 runs in the 5th inning when they had 7 base hits.  The
biggest moment was provided by Larry Doyle who deflated the spirits of the
home town crowd when he doubled plating three runs.  New York had 17 hits for
the afternoon while Brooklyn had 9.  

Marty O'Toole(4-5) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 5 innings. Ferdie
Schupp earned his 1st save.  The losing pitcher was Ed Reulbach(10-16).  He
was not very effective, surrendering 7 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
