Lou Brissie went the distance as the Boston Red Sox outscored the Cleveland

The Boston fans enjoyed the offense provided by Joe Gordon. He lined a single
scoring two baserunners in the 4th inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in
the 5th inning and laced a base-knock plating a run in the 7th inning.
Boston totaled 12 hits on the night.
Brissie(7-10) lasted until the end allowing 4 runs for the win. Mike
Garcia(15-6) took the loss. He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 7 hits
