Randy Jackson cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Cleveland Indians defeated
the Brooklyn Dodgers by the score of 5 to 4 at Ebbets Field.

Cleveland scored the winning runs in the 8th inning scoring 2 runs using 3
hits.  Al Kaline led off and got things going when he ripped a single.  After
an out was recorded, Jim Brosnan then let one get away for a wild pitch.
Brosnan then threw a pitch that got away from the catcher.  Willie Jones came
up and he bombed a two-run dinger.  Cleveland had 11 hits for the game and
Brooklyn had 7.  

Steve Gromek(8-12) allowed 4 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory.
Hoyt Wilhelm preserved the game for Gromek, recording his his 17th save.
Brosnan(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 runs and 4
hits in 2 innings.
