WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Bill Lange robbed Dan Brouthers of an extra base hit.

Kid Gleason had a complete game and Dan Brouthers collected 2 extra-base hits
and had 3 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Chicago Colts 15 to 14 at
Union Park.

Baltimore put a big number on the board in the bottom of the 8th inning, which
proved too much for Chicago to overcome showing no mercy on Chicago as they
plated 10 runs on 9 hits. The highlight belonged to Willie Keeler who
brought a roar from the partisan Union Park fans when he lined a one-base hit
plating two runs. Baltimore bats were hot in the 8th inning when they had 10
runs on 9 hits. Chicago went down quietly in the 9th.

Gleason(13-10) got the victory, allowing 14 runs for the game. Bill
Hutchison(11-14) was given the loss. He was knocked around by Baltimore,
allowing 16 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
